Tenet Resigns, Democrats Cheer?

I don't get it. I've read several stories this morning where Democrats are quite pleased with Tenet's resignation. Howard Dean spoke to a group in DC yesterday who cheered when he joked about sending Tenet to Mars. Maybe people have memory problems or maybe they've blackout that part of the past but Tenet is their guy.

In 1993 Clinton made him senior director for intelligence programs on the National Security Council. In 1995 Clinton moved him to deputy director of the CIA. In 1997 Clinton named Tenet director of the CIA. He's Clinton's man. He's the only hold over from the Clinton administration. Why are Democrats happy that the one remaining link to Clinton quit after years of disgraceful failures?

Maybe the left blames him for bad intelligence about Iraq. Doesn't anyone remember the embassy bombings? How about the Cole bombing? Tenet missed those too. If I were Tenet I would feel quite abandoned, even betrayed, by the people he once worked with and for. It's sad.
