Islam Means Submission. Don't.

Tolerance Toward Intolerance:
Now they are asking not for respect but for submission. They want non-Muslims in Europe to live by Muslim rules.

That what Islam means, right? Submission. Not peace. That's a common error. It means submission and that is what the protesters and the radicals sponsoring, organizing and coordinating these riots what. No mere apology is good enough. And that is why we must not submit, now or ever.

Free speech means the right to offend and insult or it means nothing. Religious sensibilities are not exempt from criticism. The craven US media may be cowering in fear over these cartoon and I guess I shouldn't expect anything different. The New York Times will publish state secrets but not cartoons. So it goes.

But just because the media are spineless doesn't mean the rest of us should be. Resist dhimmitude! Don't submit.

Yea, I have asked this before, and I will ask it again. Why should I pay hommage to another religions icons.

I mean, I recognise mohammed is a historical character, rather like Gengis Khan in fact. But that is it, to me a no longer Christian, why should I be 'respectful' to a figure that is nothing to do with me and by the way has been dead for over fourteen hundred years?

okay, i'm a Muslim, an instead of getting mad at you for reading your blog, i felt like laughing actually. a man, who is so into this 'freedon of speech' thing, is now acting like a small kid who insisted to win the race!

You're a funny man, you know that

well mr first commentator, historically it was muhammad's people who spread his religion to france in the west and china in the east, all within 100 years. not only did they spread the religion, they also built at least 20 empires based on his creed, and right until now there is still efforts to return to his teachings.

not only that, when his people came to these places they developed the territories and built cities and advanced the technologies, many of which still being inhabited and the knowledges are still vital until today.

should you choose not to associate anything with muhammad and muslims, then i suggest you not using the arabic numerals, eat sugar or rice or syrup, and to a smaller extent, don't use paper and a many types of cloths.

muhammad is dead, yes. even the muslims believe that. he is not like jesus whom the christians pray to. muhammad taught that muslims must pray to God only to God. that is why the muslims do not draw his picture nor have a sculpture of him. now, don't you see how this is crucial to muslims?

God has given us the mind so that we can tell good from wrong, and to see that things cannot exist without an intelligent design.

now, i insist that you read michael h. hart's "The 100". read the article on the first person. historically muhammad has left his mark on this world, and everyone in hart's book is to be respected.

i also suggest you read the quran itself to gain knowledge about islam, rather than taking for granted what Thomas writes.

peace be to everyone.

Another anti-Islam entry from the I-presume-to-be very anti-Islamist blog owner

Hmmm... Is there even a small part in yourself that could at least be tolerant to Islam?

I am AC1:

Anon commenter3: "historically it was muhammad's people who spread his religion to france in the west and china in the east,"

Well, exactly! Just the reason why my analogy with Genghis Khan is so appropriate. There have been lots and lots of violent people in history. It also gives the lie to the slur that the Christian crusades were initiated by the Christians. They were a response to the mohammedan intrusian into Europe.

Anon commenter3: "...and right until now there is still efforts to return to his teachings."

Quite so, which is exactly what we are seeing today. An attempt to browbeat and threaten the West into dhimmitude by threat of force and riot. Truly, you are still using the techniques employed by the first followers of mohammed.

Religion of peace? Don't make me laugh!

Anon commenter3: "...not only that, when his people came to these places they developed the territories and built cities and advanced the technologies,"

Perhaps, But I expect Spain, to take one example, was populated before the mohammedan aggression. So they subjugated the people who already lived in these newly conquered territories. Forcebly converted to the new religion under threat of death most likely - it is so difficult to change the habits of a lifetime, don't you think?.

Anon commenter3: "then i suggest you not using the arabic numerals, eat sugar or rice or syrup, and to a smaller extent, don't use paper and a many types of cloths."

Arabic numerials are so called because, yes, they came to us in Europe immediately from the ARAB invaders. But the Arabs got them from the Indians. As to the comestables you mention, well, in the course of the European expansion, we would have probably discovered them anyway. So, nah, I don't think I particually need to thank the mohammedans for sugar or rice. Rice by the way, unless the Chinese had been eating thin air for the five thousand years of their history - get that, five thousand years - then the Arab invaders copied the idea of eating rice too.

Yea, rice is nice, but it hasn't been a staple in the west until reletively recently.

Anon commenter3: "muhammad taught that muslims must pray to God only to God. that is why the muslims do not draw his picture nor have a sculpture of him."

So in this respect the mohammedans took the idea directly from the Jewish holy books,

"Thou shalt have no other gods before me."

"Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:".

Here is another way in which the followers of mohammed show they do not have an original idea in their heads.

Anon commenter3: "now, don't you see how this is crucial to muslims?"

No. At least no more so than Jews, or Christians who also share the Jewish holy books.

Anon commenter3: "now, i insist that you read michael h. hart's "The 100"."

Well, I take your RECOMMENDATION in good part. But moslems insisting that non moslems do something just because they say so, is not likely to go down very well just at the present moment.

Anon asks: "Tell me of one Muslim general who went to conquer South East Asia."

Firstly, you are putting words I have not uttered into my mouth. I wrote, [actually regarding the concept of zero] but in general about arabic numerals, "But the Arabs got them from the Indians." Do you see, no mention of a military campaign or generals or of any other military rank.

It is possible for two civilizations to coexist. There can be interaction of a non military nature between them. Ideas can actually be more powerful and more insidious than sheer force of arms.

It is extremely unlikely, that while building those twenty empires you mention, that they decided that you can have too many enemies, lets just trade with the Asians in SEA? Do you think that during the process of trade, some ideas may have been picked up, including the admitedly useful concept of zero, and by the way "we quite like rice, can we buy some"?

Now you have asked a fair number of questions, I have done my best to awnser them. What about awnsering the one quesion in my original post?

Why should I pay hommage to another religions icons?

and what about when the christians in spain "liberated" their country with the help of other christians thomas? how many muslims were killed and forced to be christians.. that was history..written in major history books written by ur EUROPEAN authors.

ur god professed love to be the central thing of his teaching and his 12 disciples.. yet i dont see much love radiating from u,only hate. Too bad, u urself a not a follower of ur own religion..so do not condemn others who tried to be worthy of their own religion.Unlike some people who criticize but are still in the dark about their own religion

What do you say about people who do not believe in a God. I don't respect anyones religion because no one to this day has been able to prove that this "being" that both Christians and Muslim murder people in the name of, exsists. Books written by humans (who are failable and have their own agendas) are considered credible sources of information.
If GOD beleives that there is one true relgion why doesn't he show his ass and take a fucking side!
Until then you are just killing yourself over a dulision of exsisting after death. Which has also not been proven. You would think after 2,000 years you would have some proof.

If there is a God why does little children get cancer? Why do little kids get molested, beaten and raped?

"and he killed the first born" God/Allah ordered the death of innocent children because the pheroh would not let the hebrews go. What kind of nasty God is that!
No thank you!

Hell Muhammad (may piss be upon him)

Mohammad Ghauri was a 12th-century Muslim conqueror of India who came from Afghanistan.

Just for the record, another emissary of the religion of peace.

"Ubi solitudinem faciunt, pacem appellant."
