Please Fire Kofi.

Finally some good news. "UN officials" are worried that Kofi Annan's job may be at risk. Dear god I hope so. I mean I want to be head of the UN. You can never be fired or punished no matter how incompetent and/or corrupt you are. Annan never met a dictator he didn't like. He presided over a $21.5 Billion Dollar Theft by a Mass Murdering Dictator. He has organized a few meetings while the Islamist Sudanese Dictatorship commit Genocide and Ethnic Cleansing. UN "Peacekeepers" in Congo are charged with Gross Violations of Human Rights: rape, pedophilia and pimping young girls as prostitutes.

The IAEA, a UN organization, is helpless as Iran builds nuclear weapons. The UN doesn't even note that North Korea is using gas chambers to exterminate men, women and children. So what is the UN doing? Well, dear reader, important work. Of the 57 General Assembly Resolutions passed this session 5 addressed "Palestine", 1 Jerusalem and 1 the "Syrian Golan". More than 10% of the resolutions. Not that the other 50 are interesting or valuable. One called for ending the US embargo of Cuba.

But surely the other UN bodies must be doing good work. No they aren't. And don't call me Shirley. Even the union of UN employees (yes these pampered bureaucrats have a union) cast a vote of no-confidence against the senior management.

There's no question in my mind about firing Kofi. Do it yesterday. The only question I have is whether or not he can be tried for complicity in the 1994 Rwandan massacre. In 1998 Annan even tried to cover up his guilt by refusing to let Maj. Gen. Romeo Dallaire, the commander of U.N. forces in Rwanda, testify before a Belgian investigation of the massacre. Of course if Kofi were put on trial it would be huge waste of money and time, just like the UN trial of Milosevic, which began in July 2001 and continues to this day. It has lasted 4 times longer than the Nuremberg Trials at a cost of "many millions of pounds". UN efficiency at work. Thanks Kofi. Take your Nobel Peace Prize and the money your "disappointing" son Kojo got from the Oil-For-Bribes scandal and get the hell out.
